The Sand Pebbles play reasonable, largely instrumental psychedelic hard rock on their first release, whose three tracks clock in at just 16 minutes. "Noah's Ark," the sole vocal number, is lighter and more paisley than the others, with the quote of a riff from Love's "You Set the Scene" in the instrumental break (were they thinking no one was going to notice that?). "Hey, Let Me In (T-1)" is a basic metallic surfish instrumental that makes much use of the kind of guitar distortion associated with the Velvet Underground and early Michigan bands. That sort of distortion gets mixed with placid mellotron and exotic instrumental flourishes on the spaciest cut, the nine-minute "Sundowner."
